Garvice

Garvice is a mobile-based waste transportation and recycling system application developed on September 8, 2023. The name Garvice is derived from the name of a cat that was scavenging through garbage at that time, which happened to be wet and very smelly waste. From that experience, we realized that such waste needed to be disposed of as soon as possible because it could disturb the surrounding community. However, we observed that waste collection was irregular and usually only occurred once a week. Therefore, we thought of creating an application to address this issue, allowing waste collection at any time, and incorporating a feature for exchanging waste so that the community could earn money from the application.

Garvice itself was developed by a team of 4 individuals and was initially created in the city of Makassar, specifically in the vicinity of the Muslim University of Indonesia.
